Dyna Glycols manufactures textile auxiliaries for cotton knit and woven, denim and garments, polyester/wool/silk/nylon and worsted, printing, and silicone softening. A dedicated application laboratory checks wetting, foam, handle and wash-off against the process the mill describes. Grades are released against pH, solids, ionic character and the application tests on each child TDS. This page is the map.
What textile chemicals are
Dyna Glycols manufactures textile auxiliaries for cotton knit and woven, denim and garments, polyester/wool/silk/nylon and worsted, printing, and silicone softening. A dedicated application laboratory checks wetting, foam, handle and wash-off against the process the mill describes. Grades are released against pH, solids, ionic character and the application tests on each child TDS.
This page is the map. Open a fibre or process page for the named auxiliaries (scour, bleach, dye-bath, soap, fix, finish, print). A cotton jet scour is not a denim anti-backstain, and a polyester leveller is not a cotton soaping agent.
How Dyna Glycols manufactures textile chemicals
Ethoxylation, blending and silicone emulsification are run for mill floats: APEO-free scours as NP-9.5 substitutes, low-foam jet wetters, dye-bath auxiliaries, non-formaldehyde fixers, cationic and silicone softeners, print binders and reduction-clear agents. Custom cloud points and silicone particle-size (micro, semi-micro, macro, cata-jet) are manufactured when a catalogue point is close but not exact.
Concentrated intermediates for other textile-chemical blenders ship with suggested let-down recipes. They are not a substitute for running the named mill pack first.
Typical grades in this range
Choose fibre and machine first. Child pages list the auxiliaries.
- Cotton knit/woven: enzyme desize, APEO-free scour/wetters for jet and CP, demineraliser, anticrease, peroxide bleach aids, dye-bath sequester/level/soap, non-formaldehyde dye-fix, cationic and silicone softeners, PE and wax emulsions
- Denim and garments: desize/scour, anti-backstain (liquid, flake, powder, pocket-clear), enzymes, PP neutraliser and booster, bleach booster, indigo reducer, dye-depth enhancer, silicone and cationic softeners
- Polyester, wool, silk, nylon, worsted: high-temperature scour, polyester levellers and carriers, oligomer control, reduction clear, acid-dye levellers, degumming, antistats, blooming agents
- Printing: dispersants, binders, kerosene-substitute thickeners, formaldehyde-free paste emulsifier-fixers, wash-off and reduction clear
- Silicone: HISIL-LXL amino-silicone base plus micro, semi-micro, cata-jet and macro mill emulsions
Where textile chemicals are used
Exhaust jets need low-foam, shear-stable wetters and softeners. Continuous pad-steam needs rapid wetters and peroxide-stable scours. Denim laundry needs anti-backstain chemistry that is not a cotton knit soap. Polyester HTHP dyeing needs levelling and oligomer control that a cotton dye-bath conditioner will not provide.
Printing and finishing are specified separately from preparation. Pair the softener with the resin or PE emulsion when sewability or needle cutting is the complaint.
How to specify textile chemicals
Name fibre, machine (jet, soft-flow, jigger, CP, garment drum, HTHP), APEO and formaldehyde policy, foam test, and the process step. Share water hardness, caustic, peroxide and whether lycra or indigo is present.
If replacing a competitor auxiliary, send ionic type, solids, pH and cloud point rather than only a mill nickname. Sample preparation, dye-bath and finish as a set when the mill is changing fibre source.
Quality, documents and supply
Lots are released against the tests on each child TDS. SDS and COA follow verification. Laboratory or mill samples should be run on the actual quality before a bulk process change.
Store liquids above pour point and flakes dry. Warm and mix set surfactants. Follow silicone emulsion freeze advice on the SDS.
Practical notes on textile chemicals
APEO-free scours are not drop-in copies of NP-9.5. Run a paired wetting and wash-off trial. Non-formaldehyde dye-fixers are the usual path where residual formaldehyde is audited.
Cationic softeners and dye-fixers can block later anionic finishes or prints. Check sequence. Silicone particle size (micro vs macro) is not a strength scale — see the silicone-softener page.
Related notes: cotton knit/woven, denim and garments, polyester/wool/silk/nylon, printing chemicals, silicone softeners. Request a sample with fibre, machine and restricted-substance list.
Concentrated grades for other blenders need a written let-down. A mill ordering a concentrate by mistake will see a different dose and foam than the ready pack.
English is the source language for APEO, formaldehyde and handle claims.
Export packing follows the transport class on the SDS. Freeze the TDS once a trial lot is approved.
Ordering and evaluating textile chemicals
Dyna Glycols supports textile chemicals with laboratory samples, current SDS, TDS and COA from the Kandla SEZ manufacturing network. Tell us the intended application, the substrate, the required moles or molecular weight, and any limits on colour, odour, cloud point, hydroxyl value, pH or residual feedstock. A matching catalogue grade of textile chemicals in the Textile Chemicals family can then be confirmed, or a custom batch can be planned on the ethoxylation, esterification or related plant.
When you evaluate textile chemicals, send the competitor grade if one exists, the bath or emulsion conditions, and the tests your receiving laboratory will run. Pack options for textile chemicals typically include drums, IBCs and bulk where the viscosity and melting point of the selected grade allow safe handling from the Textile Chemicals manufacturing line.
A first order of textile chemicals is easier when the purchase specification lists identity tests, not only a local trade name. Hydroxyl value, saponification value, acid value, cloud point, pH, water, colour and appearance are the numbers the Kandla QA laboratory can lock. If your QC uses a different solvent or a different cloud-point electrolyte for textile chemicals, write that method on the order so the COA speaks the same language.
Custom lots of textile chemicals are quoted after the hydrophobe or acid/alcohol pair, the target analytical window, the annual volume and the pack. Pilot batches are available when a catalogue point in the Textile Chemicals range is close but not exact. Once a trial lot is approved, that TDS should be frozen so the tenth delivery of textile chemicals matches the first approved drum.
Storage of textile chemicals should follow the SDS: keep containers closed, protect hygroscopic grades from moisture, and warm high-melt or high-mole grades until uniform before sampling. FIFO rotation protects colour and odour. If a drum of textile chemicals has frozen or separated in transit, homogenise it before charging a batch; do not decant only the liquid layer.
Application advice for textile chemicals is given against the process you describe, not as a universal recipe. Share machine type, temperature, pH, electrolytes, fibre or hide type, and any ban on APEO, formaldehyde or food-contact lists. Dyna Glycols can then sample textile chemicals alone or as a pair with a sister grade from the same Textile Chemicals family so compatibility is checked in one evaluation.
Documentation for textile chemicals is issued after a short verification of the company and the exact grade name. SDS covers handling; TDS covers typical properties; COA covers the shipping lot. If a customer audit needs extra tests on textile chemicals (for example residual feedstock, peroxide, formaldehyde or a pharmacopoeia-style identity), list those tests at the enquiry stage so they are built into release rather than added after dispatch.
