Dyna Glycols manufactures demulsifier intermediates and corrosion-inhibitor bases for crude production, transport and refining. Demulsifier resins are alkyl phenol-formaldehyde ethoxylates at defined %EO, plus propylene glycol EO/PO copolymers and diethylene triamine EO/PO alkoxylates. Inhibitor bases are tallow amine/diamine 10 EO and a 70% amido-imidazoline (Product CND).

These are intermediates for blender packages. They are not finished field demulsifiers with a guaranteed bottle test on every crude. Send the crude, water cut, temperature and the bottle-test method so a resin %EO can be shortlisted. APEO-containing resins remain catalogue items; say if they are banned.
How Dyna Glycols manufactures refinery and oilfield chemicals
Nonyl and dodecyl phenol-formaldehyde resins are ethoxylated to about 20–48% EO as listed. PG and DETA alkoxylates are run on the EO/PO plant. Amine ethoxylates and imidazoline are finished as on the metal/oilfield inhibitor pages.
Custom %EO on a resin and custom EO/PO on PG or DETA are quoted after the existing bottle-test winner and annual volume.
Typical grades in this range
Name demulsifier resin vs EO/PO intermediate vs inhibitor base. Typical catalogue points are listed below.
- Nonyl phenol-formaldehyde resin ethoxylates at about 20%, 30%, 40% and 48% EO
- Dodecyl phenol-formaldehyde resin ethoxylates at about 30% and 40% EO
- Propylene glycol propoxylated/ethoxylated (EO/PO copolymers)
- Diethylene triamine propoxylated/ethoxylated
- Corrosion inhibitors: tallow diamine 10 EO / tallow amine 10 EO (100% active); Product CND 70% amido-imidazoline
Where refinery and oilfield chemicals are used
Crude dehydrating and desalting use resin ethoxylates as the oil-soluble backbone of a demulsifier blend, often with an EO/PO copolymer or amine alkoxylate as a water-drop or wetting companion. %EO moves the partition between oil and the interface. Low %EO stays more oil-soluble; higher %EO moves toward the water.
Inhibitor packs for drilling, production, pipelines and refining use the amine ethoxylate as a film-forming detergent base and the imidazoline (often acid-salted) as a filming amine. See also the metal and electroplating page for the same inhibitor bases.
How to specify refinery and oilfield chemicals
For demulsifiers send crude API, water cut, temperature, asphaltene/wax notes, APEO policy and the bottle-test method (including solvent). Name NP vs DP resin and target %EO if known.
For inhibitors send water vs oil continuous, acid for imidazoline conversion, H2S/CO2/brine and % active. Attach the incumbent TDS.
Quality, documents and supply
Lots are released against %EO or hydroxyl, viscosity, pH, water and appearance as on the TDS. SDS and COA follow verification. Bottle tests and corrosion coupons are customer or blender tests on the actual crude or brine.
Warm resin ethoxylates until uniform. Follow the SDS. APEO resins and concentrated amines require the stated PPE.
Practical notes on refinery and oilfield chemicals
A 20% EO NP resin is not a drop-in for a 48% EO resin. Partition and water drop change. Shortlist two %EO points rather than one trade name.
DP resins vs NP resins change asphaltene handling on some crudes. They are not assumed copies at the same %EO.
Related pages: EO/PO block copolymers, alkyl phenol ethoxylates, fatty amine ethoxylates, metal and electroplating chemicals. Request a sample with the bottle-test crude or a retained sample if export rules allow.
Imidazoline acid salts are water-soluble; the 70% base may not be. Freeze the acid.
English is the source language for %EO and APEO claims.
Once a trial blend is approved, freeze resin type, %EO and the EO/PO companion so later intermediates match the evaluation.
Ordering and evaluating refinery and oilfield chemicals
Dyna Glycols supports refinery and oilfield chemicals with laboratory samples, current SDS, TDS and COA from the Kandla SEZ manufacturing network. Tell us the intended application, the substrate, the required moles or molecular weight, and any limits on colour, odour, cloud point, hydroxyl value, pH or residual feedstock. A matching catalogue grade of refinery and oilfield chemicals in the Refinery and Oilfield Chemicals family can then be confirmed, or a custom batch can be planned on the ethoxylation, esterification or related plant.
When you evaluate refinery and oilfield chemicals, send the competitor grade if one exists, the bath or emulsion conditions, and the tests your receiving laboratory will run. Pack options for refinery and oilfield chemicals typically include drums, IBCs and bulk where the viscosity and melting point of the selected grade allow safe handling from the Refinery and Oilfield Chemicals manufacturing line.
A first order of refinery and oilfield chemicals is easier when the purchase specification lists identity tests, not only a local trade name. Hydroxyl value, saponification value, acid value, cloud point, pH, water, colour and appearance are the numbers the Kandla QA laboratory can lock. If your QC uses a different solvent or a different cloud-point electrolyte for refinery and oilfield chemicals, write that method on the order so the COA speaks the same language.
Custom lots of refinery and oilfield chemicals are quoted after the hydrophobe or acid/alcohol pair, the target analytical window, the annual volume and the pack. Pilot batches are available when a catalogue point in the Refinery and Oilfield Chemicals range is close but not exact. Once a trial lot is approved, that TDS should be frozen so the tenth delivery of refinery and oilfield chemicals matches the first approved drum.
Storage of refinery and oilfield chemicals should follow the SDS: keep containers closed, protect hygroscopic grades from moisture, and warm high-melt or high-mole grades until uniform before sampling. FIFO rotation protects colour and odour. If a drum of refinery and oilfield chemicals has frozen or separated in transit, homogenise it before charging a batch; do not decant only the liquid layer.
Application advice for refinery and oilfield chemicals is given against the process you describe, not as a universal recipe. Share machine type, temperature, pH, electrolytes, fibre or hide type, and any ban on APEO, formaldehyde or food-contact lists. Dyna Glycols can then sample refinery and oilfield chemicals alone or as a pair with a sister grade from the same Refinery and Oilfield Chemicals family so compatibility is checked in one evaluation.
Documentation for refinery and oilfield chemicals is issued after a short verification of the company and the exact grade name. SDS covers handling; TDS covers typical properties; COA covers the shipping lot. If a customer audit needs extra tests on refinery and oilfield chemicals (for example residual feedstock, peroxide, formaldehyde or a pharmacopoeia-style identity), list those tests at the enquiry stage so they are built into release rather than added after dispatch.
