Chemistries

All our plants are well equipped to handle a wide range of chemical processes. Our strength is in Ethoxylation and Propoxylation and most of our products are based on this chemistry.

Ask the manufacturing team

If you know the chemistry, open that family — ethoxylates, esters, amides, alkoxylates, EO/PO copolymers, sulphates or phosphate esters. If you know the market, start from the industry list instead. Each page names typical grades and the numbers to put on an enquiry.

Yes. The compare page lines up two or three families by ionic type, manufacturing route, the tests to name on an order, and where the families are not interchangeable. It is a family map, not a grade specification.

Core families are alkoxylates, ethoxylates, esters, amides, EO/PO block copolymers, acrylic polymers, phosphate esters, propoxylates, sulfosuccinates, and sulphates and sulfonates. Most grades are built on ethoxylation and propoxylation at Kandla SEZ.

Name the chemistry, the hydrophobe or acid/alcohol pair, EO/PO moles or cloud point, HLB or active content, and any APEO, food-contact or colour limit. Attach a competitor TDS if you are matching a running grade.

Yes. Intermediate moles and custom actives are manufactured when a listed point is close but not exact. Pilot batches are available before a bulk campaign is booked.

State that alkyl phenol ethoxylates are not allowed. Ask for a fatty alcohol ethoxylate (or other APEO-free path) sampled beside the incumbent NP grade with cloud point measured in your real bath. They are not assumed drop-in copies — wetting, emulsification and foam can move.

Open the grade or family, then use Request a sample. State the process step and the tests your laboratory will run. SDS and TDS can travel with the sample.

Often yes — a fatty alcohol ethoxylate may appear under both ethoxylates and textile or agro pages. The industry page is organised by duty; the chemistry page is organised by structure. Specify by identity tests, not only by the page you arrived from.

Still specifying a grade?

Send the process step and the analytical window. The Kandla team will confirm a catalogue grade or a custom batch.
