Intermediates for plasticising and grinding
On this site, plasticizers and construction additives are feedstocks and intermediates: fatty esters and glycol esters that soften polymer films, polyethylene glycols used as plasticising and humectant fluids, and grinding-aid or plasticiser partners listed under construction chemicals. Dyna Glycols does not sell a finished branded concrete admixture package. Ordering “a plasticiser like brand X” without the chemistry window is how the wrong ester ships.
Share whether the duty is polymer film flexibility, cement grinding, gypsum board, or a concrete plasticiser feedstock. Those are different analytical targets.
Esters and PEG as plasticising fluids
Fatty Acid Esters and Glycol Esters act as light plasticising and lubricant esters in coatings, adhesives and selected polymer compounds. Acid value, saponification value and colour are the usual release tests. Polyethylene-glycol grades contribute plasticising and hygroscopic behaviour in some industrial and personal-care-adjacent systems — name the molecular weight.
Esters custom work needs the acid–alcohol pair and mono versus di intent. “HLB 12 plasticiser” without chemistry is not a manufactureable brief.
Construction grinding and concrete feedstocks
Construction Chemicals cover grinding aids, plasticiser and foamer intermediates for cement, concrete and gypsum. Triethanolamine-related grinding chemistry and surfactant foamers sit in that industry set. High pH and electrolyte are normal constraints — check hydrolysis of ester-linked surfactants before sampling into cementitious systems.
Gypsum and concrete foamers are not detergent foamers. Write air content target and whether the foam must collapse after placement.
How to specify
Name the polymer or cementitious system, required flexibility or grind efficiency, temperature, pH, and any VOC or APEO limit. Attach the identity tests your QC will run. Dyna Glycols will sample a fatty ester, glycol ester, PEG grade or construction intermediate against that window and freeze the TDS after trial approval.
Specification checklist
Put the application, the substrate, temperature, pH and any APEO or formaldehyde limit on the first enquiry. INCI or chemical names, cloud point, hydroxyl value, saponification value and colour are the numbers Dyna Glycols can lock on a TDS for this Plasticizers topic. A warehouse nickname is not a specification.
Samples and documents
Request a laboratory sample of the related Plasticizers grade together with the current SDS and TDS. The certificate of analysis is issued for the shipping lot after manufacture at Kandla SEZ. Once the trial is approved, freeze the identity tests so later drums of this chemistry match the article you evaluated.
