Denim and ready-made garments
Denim and Readymade Garments Processing Chemicals start with penetrating desize and scour, then enzyme fade, anti-back-staining, bleach or permanganate routes, indigo reduction and softeners that restore handle. Back-staining onto pockets is the classic failure. Anti-back-stain products exist as nonionic flakes, anionic liquids and mixed powders, including pocket-clear types — physical form is part of the specification.
Permanganate must be neutralized; residual oxidant continues to bleach in the stack. Acid enzymes cut indigo and cellulose — overdose gives holes. Stretch denim needs a penetrating desize and a softener that does not kill elastane recovery.
Polyester, wool, silk, nylon and worsted
Polyester, Wool, Silk, Nylon processing and Worsted Processing Chemicals use disperse, acid, metal-complex or cationic dyes, not cotton reactives. Polyester needs levelling, oligomer control, buffers, carriers or diffusion accelerators compatible with high-temperature dyeing, then reduction clearing. Cationic-dyeable polyester needs its own leveller. Silk needs degumming and acid substitutes; nylon needs acid-dye level and anionic fixation; acrylic needs retarders so cationic dyes do not rush the fibre.
Do not use a cotton soaper as a polyester reduction clear. Name fibre, blend, machine and dye class on the sample request.
Specification checklist
Put the application, the substrate, temperature, pH and any APEO or formaldehyde limit on the first enquiry. INCI or chemical names, cloud point, hydroxyl value, saponification value and colour are the numbers Dyna Glycols can lock on a TDS for this Textiles topic. A warehouse nickname is not a specification.
Samples and documents
Request a laboratory sample of the related Textiles grade together with the current SDS and TDS. The certificate of analysis is issued for the shipping lot after manufacture at Kandla SEZ. Once the trial is approved, freeze the identity tests so later drums of this chemistry match the article you evaluated.
