Buyers often ask for “all documents” on a grade. That request is understandable, but SDS, TDS and COA are not interchangeable. Sending the right file first saves a round of follow-up and keeps plant, warehouse and laboratory teams aligned. Dyna Glycols issues current revisions by email after a short company verification; files are not published as open downloads.
Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
The SDS is the regulatory document for handling, storage, transport classification, first aid and personal protection. It is written for EHS and logistics, not for formulating a recipe. Language and region matter: a GHS SDS for India is not automatically the same as the version a customer needs for a destination market. Always request the SDS for the exact grade name that will be shipped, including concentration where the same chemistry is sold at more than one active matter.
Technical Data Sheet (TDS)
The TDS describes typical properties of the grade — appearance, active matter, HLB, viscosity, cloud point, acid value and similar specifications. Formulators use it to shortlist chemistry. It is typical data, not a guarantee of one production lot. If your receiving laboratory uses a different cloud-point electrolyte or a different solvent for hydroxyl value, write that method on the enquiry so the TDS and the later COA speak the same language.
Certificate of Analysis (COA)
The COA is lot-specific. It reports the measured values for a batch against the agreed specification. Quality teams need the lot number. If the batch is not yet allocated, we cannot issue a meaningful COA in advance. Typical TDS data can travel with a laboratory sample; the COA follows the production drum or IBC.

Request SDS, TDS or COA from the document centre, or ask for a laboratory sample together with the matching SDS and TDS. Name the company, the grade, and whether the destination market needs a particular SDS language. That brief is enough to send the correct set without a second round of questions.
A practical request order
For a first evaluation, SDS plus TDS plus sample is the useful trio. Add COA when a commercial lot is booked. Do not wait for a COA before starting laboratory work: typical properties on the TDS are what the plant will manufacture to, and the COA confirms the lot that actually ships.
