The range covers sorbitan mono oleate, tri oleate, mono palmitate, mono stearate, tri stearate and mono laurate, together with polysorbate 20, 60, 65, 80 and 85. Grades are matched to international identity tests so a buyer can specify by INCI or chemical name rather than a warehouse nickname.
Where these grades are used
Sorbitan esters are oil-soluble emulsifiers. Polysorbates are the ethoxylated counterparts and are more water-dispersible. Together they are used in oil-in-water and water-in-oil systems for personal care, food emulsifiers and selected industrial dispersions. Typical buying briefs name HLB, acid value, saponification value and the oil phase, not a competitor trade name.
