Industrial biocide, not a crop fungicide
On this website, fungicide and algicide language on carbamate grades means control of fungi, bacteria and algae in industrial water and selected formulation preservation — sugar mill streams, paper mill water, cooling-adjacent process water and formulator packs that still permit that chemistry. These are not finished agricultural fungicides, not seed treatments and not a registered crop-protection product. Ordering “a fungicide” without naming mill water versus field crop sends the enquiry to the wrong commercial path.
Dyna Glycols manufactures listed carbamates such as SDMDC, KDMDC and nabam-type actives as process biocides. Pesticide registration, residue and label claims belong to whoever owns a finished agro pack. Dyna Glycols will not invent CIB or EPA status for a mill biocide lot.
Where carbamates are listed
Sugar Chemicals list SDMDC 40%, KDMDC 40% and nabam 40% as mill-water biocides — not food additives. Paper Chemicals use carbamate slimicides alongside defoamers and de-inkers; those are different duties. Agro Chemicals may list sodium and potassium carbamates for industrial biocide, fungicide and algaecide use in systems the formulator names. Water Treatment Chemicals is the routing map when the circuit is cooling or process water rather than a sugar or paper mill.
A carbamate is not a surfactant wetter and not a scale inhibitor. Do not dose it as an emulsifier.
How this differs from agro EC chemistry
Agro emulsifiers, solvents and tank-mix adjuvants keep oils dispersed or wet leaves. They do not kill algae in a cooling tower. Keep the biocide RFQ separate from the emulsifier RFQ even when both sit under the agro industry heading. Confirm the receiving mill or formulator still permits dithiocarbamate chemistry — several food-chain and cooling briefs have moved away from it.
Read the SDS before mixing with oxidising biocides. Some combinations release hazardous gases. Programme design remains with the water-treatment contractor or mill chemist.

Name sodium vs potassium vs nabam, % active, the water system (sugar, paper, cooling, formulation preserve), contact time and any residual or effluent limit. Start from Water Treatment Chemicals or the mill industry page that matches the plant. Request SDS with the sample; freeze active and cation once the trial is approved.
Specification checklist
Put the application, the substrate, temperature, pH and any APEO or formaldehyde limit on the first enquiry. INCI or chemical names, cloud point, hydroxyl value, saponification value and colour are the numbers Dyna Glycols can lock on a TDS for this Biocides topic. A warehouse nickname is not a specification.
Samples and documents
Request a laboratory sample of the related Biocides grade together with the current SDS and TDS. The certificate of analysis is issued for the shipping lot after manufacture at Kandla SEZ. Once the trial is approved, freeze the identity tests so later drums of this chemistry match the article you evaluated.
